Blow your freakin' head off....

If you're like me, you fancy yourself a decent photographer and you sometimes dream of taking really great shots of your favorite bands and musicians.

Then, you look at the work of this guy Ryan I know and you realize that you might as well give up because you will never visually capture the feeling of live music as well as he does. Or, you find yourself inspired to be better. Either way, Ryan's work is so amazing, it makes me pee my pants. He's having an opening this Thursday and if you're in Seattle, I highly recommend checking it out:

VAIN and Lucky Strike present "LIVE LOUD - Music
photography by Ryan Schierling" at Vain in Belltown
(2018 1st Avenue) for
1st Thursday Artwalk action. The opening features a
collection of dynamic photographs of your favorite
local and touring bands, captured like never before.
Schierling has established himself
as one of the premier music shooters in the Pacific
Northwest, and this exhibition showcases his emotive,
detail-driven visual style with rich color and dense
black and white prints.

"One of the select few (on one hand) rock
photographers that makes me go 'damn!' in awe and
appreciation is Ryan Schierling... There's some real
heavy 'what-the-f*@#-that's-craziness' going on... so
be prepared to have your eyes kissed and your mind
blown." -Jasper Coolidge, talent buyer for Pianos,
NYC.

Schierling's photographs have appeared in Blender,
Alternative Press, The Big Takeover, Devil In The
Woods, Rockrgrl, Seattle Magazine, The Stranger, The
New York Times, Seattle Times, Seattle
Post-Intelligencer, Austin Chronicle and more.

The opening begins at 6pm with Three Imaginary Girls
spinning tunes to accompany complimentary beverages.

Dude I feel the same way about writing. I think my review kicks ass, then I read one on pitchfork that shreds mine for the pigs.
But don't give up hope! Find an edge, do the extreme!
