On Vox: I prefer year -18, I guess.

Five songs in and this new NIN album isn't getting any better. In fact, it's starting to really piss me off. Your computer is neat, Trent. It makes lots of cool noises. Unfortunately, you can't seem to put them together in to anything that approximates music anymore. Also, just because that vocal style worked on "Closer" doesn't mean you should use it on every song forever.

With the exception of the disco breakdown that ends "All The Love in the World," the man hasn't done a thing to interest me in ten years.

Best song on that album!

I actually liked the whole thing though, for the most part. I mean, that record really took me back to Pretty Hate Machine.

I don't know what any of us can really reasonably expect, though. I mean, how many years can he sustain that level of goth-emo really? He's probably moved on to other generations.
