On Vox: 'til Death Do Us Party

Aw man, it's true. From the final Groovie Ghoulies GhoulieMail:

Dear Ghoulie Family,

It is with deep regret and sorrow that we must inform you that we have parted ways as a band for personal reasons.

We thank you for your tireless love and support over the years and encourage you to continue to support the bands we have played with in Sacramento and beyond.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to respond to any messages sent to our MySpace account. We ask that you respect our privacy during this difficult time.

Again, we are deeply grateful for all the love you have shown us.

Love,
the Ghoulies

That super sucks. For many years, the Ghoulies have been one of the most fun representatives of the Bay Area punk scene. Their shows are always a blast, and they always play with great bands. They're always friendly and on stage they just tear it up. I'll never forget seeing them open up for The Cramps, or play at the DNA Lounge, or share an awesome show with The Epoxies.

This is a drag.

damn
I share your disappointment.
The Ghoulies were one of the last few bands that I would go to see live.
Bummer.
