Rodentia, Part II

So last night as we're just about driftin' off to sleep, we hear this SNAP above us, followed by what I like to call a "wood flopping about" noise that lasted about 90 seconds. Then a bit more skritch-skritch-skritch, and then silence. The rest of the night was spent wondering if there was a dead rat resting in peace directly over our bed (answer: yes) and if there were more. And, if there were more, would his friends consider this a warning, or an act for which they would seek vengeance? Time will tell. In the meantime, as CNN would approve of, I've provided photographic evidence of The Dead:

R.I.P. Mr. Scratchy. Hope you weren't a family man. Big sucker, ain't he?

There's always more, son. But I doubt they take things personally.

if only....
there were traps big enough for the republican rats who currently infest the nation's capital...maybe someday, someone will invent the better mousetrap...
