Frikkin' dog

Man. Rudy was a bad bad bad boy last night. Big mess. I think he may have been acting out. I don't know how that much excrement could come out of one single dog of that size, but I'm gonna figure it out.

He's grounded from the internet today, so he won't be posting.

ya gotta use the can and you can't leave them to their own devices...i don't know if you remember the garage sale we had when we lived on dalphin road and because eddie was being ignored, he te the scrabble game and several covers off dad's paperback books...oh, and two videotape covers...they're smart...you gotta be smarter...

Re: the can...
No no no. You'll scare him to death. Get a squirt bottle and use 1/4 white vinegar with 3/4 water and just blast him (not in the face)when you see him start to squat. I also recommend 2 things, and trust me, you'll thank me later. You need the Bissell hand
steamer ( or whatever it's called, about $40 at WalMart) and you need an enzymatic cleaner. Nature's Miracle (PetSmart or Petco) is awesome, but the stuff that WalMart and Target sells in the pet aisles is also good. But it has to be an enzymatic cleaner or it won't work- it actually breaks down the enzymes in the poop and pee so Rudy won't keep going back to the same spot to potty, because the scent won't be there.Regular cleaners will not help. And the hand steamer just makes it easier- you suck up the pee first and then spray the cleaner on the rug, then suck all that up too. I promise it works. Just be patient- Rudy will get it right one of these days.

Re: the can...
by the time you do all of those configurations, the dog will be ready for the old pets home...trust me, the can won't scare him...it's what the professionals use...he'll associate the noise from the can with what he's not supposed to do and that's how he'll learn...tried and true and works...
