“the right to life cannot be granted or denied by government.” - George W. Bush

Let's examine the validity of that statement.

Before this ban:
Fetus' right to life: Not granted or denied by government.
Mother's right to life: Not granted or denied by government.

After ban:
Fetus' right to life: Granted by government.
Mother's right to life: Denied by government.

Don't get me wrong, I think this practice is a horrific solution to a problem. But, in some cases, it's the only solution and is, in my opinion, better than a mother dying or becoming severely disabled, or an unwanted child being raised in an unloving and resentful home. It must be an amazingly difficult choice to make, but it must remain a choice.

But the government gets to kill full-grown people all the time!

FUCKERS. FUCK YOU FUCKERS. And if you look at my most recent post: I'm even more frightened by television-commercial propaganda than ever.

I read one story where a woman had planned to have their third child, a girl they'd already picked a name for even, found out during the third trimester that the baby's brain was developing outside her skull. The baby had no chance of survival outside the womb. She chose to have a partial-birth abortion because she couldn't bear the thought of her baby suffering. If that same situation happens now, the woman will have no choice but to watch her baby die slowly in the incubator. This law doesn't even allow for extreme situations like this.

I was already a member of naral.org, but I also signed up with http://www.plannedparenthood.org/ and signed all their letters to our State Senators, Gdubya himself and various other parties. I believe both sites will send you future petitions and letters to send on issues like these.

Look here for how the other side lives...

I made a comment, I wonder if it will make it past the censor...

i shouldn't have gone to that sight because now my head is about to blow off...my comment to those brainless, right-winged, tight-assed, married to no-dick men is that their mothers are the ones who would have most benefitted from abortion rights...i wish them painful, toruous lives...and how dare they besmirch the greatest, most incredible, charismatic president we've had since jimmy carter...bill clinton was and always will be MY president...now, if we can only bring the west wing into the real world...

ps...if it's any consolation, always remember...it's them, not us!
