Dumb Little Band

Some of you may know that one of my favorite little punk bands is The Mr. T Experience. They're your average Berkeley pop-punk band that nobody knows about. Way better than Green Day, but not nearly as popular.

Anyway, the lead singer/songwriter - Dr. Frank - really is a hell of a writer... and it turns out he has a blog, which I've syndicated to LiveJournal and added to my friends list. You should really check it out:

They're on tour right now, so the stories are extra fun, especially as they enter the south. Enjoy!

Is it something about the way he is enabling RSS that causes only a headline and short blurb to appear? I really hate that. I will never ever click that link, no matter how interesting he promises to be, because I am a lazy sod. I mean, that's why i'm sitting here wasting my life with LJ in the first place! Sadly, I am not alone. If there's something that can be done on this end to feed the whole post, that would be swell.

nope... that's how LJ syndication works. they only pull the first x bytes. otherwise, i guess people would probably bitch about long syndicated posts messing up their friends list or something.

your man might know more about it. i believe he's one of the early users of LJ syndication.

Hm, i have lots of syndicated feeds that show the whole entry. Maybe it's the difference between *you* choosing to syndicate through LJ, and *them* choosing to syndicate through RSS (which you then view through LJ). That would make sense, since the author doesn't have control over it, just pulling "headlines" prevents accusations of stealing.
