I believe so... the guy who sold it on Craig's List said he got it from a guy in Ballard who "rides with a bunch of other people and has like 5 mopeds."
Where'd your friend get it? How come he got rid of it? Is it doomed!?!?
Yes, that's my friend! I'm not sure where he got it. No worries though, he has just been selling his mopeds because he's going to be sailing around the world next summer and will be gone a few years with no need for 5 mopeds. He's interested to know how it's running now. If she has any trouble or questions, everyone is happy to help. She's welcome to come to moped mondays! We're in the process of finding a new location...it's between the Mars Bar/Cafe Venus and the Boxcar Ale House, right now. The forums at www.mopedarmy.com are a good resource too.
It runs great. Starts with not too much heartache. The guy we got it from said that his wife wasn't cool with it. Plus, he's about my size, so it just wasn't haulin' him all that quickly. The only thing I had to fix was a minor bend and missing e-clip on the center stand.
It is a bit slow, so I'm gonna see what I can do with it, performance-wise, besides the pipe that's on it. I have a friend who owns a scooter shop in Arizona who's also the president of the Tom Cruisers (http://www.mopedarmy.com/members/view/tomcruisers/jeb/). I seem to remember him souping up a Bravo a while back, and then someone from his shop riding it 120 miles on the Tucson-Nogales scooter rally.
Thanks for the offer of help. We'll most likely be taking you up on that! I've had much respect for the Fleet since they started showing up on rallies a few years ago and are obviously more fun than us (the scooter clubs). How come you all are looking to leave the Tin Hat?
HEY! I met your friend Jeb. He was in Seattle for about 1 day recently. Very nice guy. We're looking for a venue that is all age friendly. Plus, we were starting to outgrow the Tin Hat. Hope to see you two at Moped Mondays!
On a bunch of the pictures I've seen, it has a square headlight bucket... not sure what's up with that, but I dig the shit outta the round one, and everything works great, so whatevs. Maybe sometime down the road, I'll replace that one with a little chrome round one like on Mikey's lil' chopper (the one he took on Monkey Run).
Susie's rockin' the moped. She gets up in the morning, flips me the bird, and takes off on it. I don't see her until 3 or 4 in the morning.

Ah! All ages friendly venues in Seattle are hard to come by indeed. Maybe the back of the Hurricane?
We've been to a Moped Monday or two but felt like nerds.
