Too much work

Man... work is starting to take up a lot of my time. I had to be there at 8:30 this morning! 8:30! I didn't even realize my clock had 8:30! But there I was. And that was after being there until around 10:30 last night. Ugh. The one good thing about being in that early was Sheba. She was in quite an entertaining mood and I got to go get "coffee" with her. Ok... I don't drink coffee, so I got hot chocolate and then some round eggs and round sausage. Sheba is a lovely girl.

Today I drove Red Bike to work instead of Eris. Red Bike got thoroughly washed by hand on Sunday and waxed. It was nice today so I drove her to work and she was super shiny in the sun. Man I fucking love my Vespas. Who needs kids when you can have vintage Italian scooters?

Yesterday and today, plans started solidifying for what is now known as The Apocalypse. If there's any bit of my precious youth left, it's about to be spent.

First, there's the Victoria scooter rally. Simon's coming up for that one and meeting me here in Seattle that Friday (the 17th). We're driving/ferrying with the Monkeys to Sequim and spending the night there. Then, early on Saturday we'll get up and head over to Victoria for scooter rally crazy mayhem. Given the exchange rate and my level of stress at the time (see: work), I anticipate an awful lot of drinking and partying.

Sunday, we leave the rally in the afternoon and head back to Seattle for Elvis Costello at the Paramount. Oh man that's gonna be a fucking good show. His new stuff is amazing. Simon's going to that also, as well as a new friend Kate.

The next day, I'll be working for a few hours, and then Simon and I get on a plane and head down to San Francisco. Monday night is Paul's graduation party. We get the whole club to ourselves, and free booze. Oh, and we can stay at the club all night. No closing time. Now... those who know me and have heard my stories probably know really well that when Paul and I get together, we tear shit up. And when Simon and I get together, we also tear some shit up. Hard. And when Paul and Simon are together... well.... I don't have to tell you how that is. It's extremely rare that Paul, Simon, and I are all together in the same place at the same time, but when it happens, there's some serious potential for damage. Now add the fact that Esteban will be there and I'm telling you this: someone's going to jail, the hospital, Texas, or maybe all three. Damn this is gonna be fun, but this could very well be the next big natural disaster to hit San Francisco. I'm afraid for us, and I am afraid for them. Whew! So, we'll be down there for a couple of days, and then I return to the grind on that Thursday. That's five straight days of lunacy. I hope these old bones hold together.

Today, I learned to play the Barney Miller theme song on my bass.
