Then, you look at the work of this guy Ryan I know and you realize that you might as well give up because you will never visually capture the feeling of live music as well as he does. Or, you find yourself inspired to be better. Either way, Ryan's work is so amazing, it makes me pee my pants. VAIN and Lucky Strike present "LIVE LOUD - Music
photography by Ryan Schierling" at Vain in Belltown
(2018 1st Avenue) for
1st Thursday Artwalk action. The opening features a
collection of dynamic photographs of your favorite
local and touring bands, captured like never before.
Schierling has established himself
as one of the premier music shooters in the Pacific
Northwest, and this exhibition showcases his emotive,
detail-driven visual style with rich color and dense
black and white prints.

ABOUT RYAN SCHIERLING
Ryan Schierling is a Seattle-based photographer
specializing in live music, editorial and commercial
projects, with a background in photojournalism. His
four years as staff photographer at the Bainbridge
Island Review were highlighted by 21 Washington
Newspaper Publisher Awards. He now concentrates on
freelance work and seeing as many shows as humanly
