This article, from the BBC no less, is irritating. Why does everyone pop a tit (I just made that expression up) whenever Microsoft manages to do copy something cool that someone else has already been doing? Firefox has offered this functionality for as long as I can remember.

I guess this is particularly irritating to me because I know what it's like to be the ripped off. Microsoft did a "trial" of my company's products for the Pocket PC and Smartphone about a year and a half ago. I had to bend over backwards to loan them devices and carrier SIMs, and support them for a couple of months while they learned all about how our product works and what it does, under the guise of fostering some business relationship that I never really understood. After the trial, I never really heard much about it, until a few months ago when everyone's all excited because the geniuses are hooking up Exchange with the ability to push data over the air to wireless devices. Yeah... wow... that IS exciting. Rather, it WAS exciting when WE started doing it forever ago.

"Oooh. Look at you, Microsoft. You're sooooo smart! Yes you are!!! Who's my big smart boy? That's right!"

Who's popping a tit? That article seems pretty tame. It even mentions (quite early) that Firefox has had this for a while...

YOu know what i hate about MS products and Technology?

Microsoft also said it had created some new extensions to the RSS format, which will be available for content publishers to use under the Creative Commons licence.
WTF? when they do that MS fucks all the other browsers over. why is it that MS will take something that everyone else agrees to play fair with, and then add their 'own extensions' to the shit? they did that with Browser Tags, CSS support, XML, RDL, and now RSS. fuckers.
