Mom! Pleeeeeease?

Look at this Craig's List ad:

3,000 miles Better than new, custom exhaust, lower seat, engine protector hihhway pegs, extra ports, official BMW bags. Has not been riden since 3,000 mile service. Reason for selling is that I live in a gated community that prohibits motorcycles.

What? You live in a what that prohibits what?? You PAID A LOT OF MONEY for a home where they can tell you you're NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE A MOTORCYCLE?

I don't get that at all. Maybe "a gated community" really means "my parents' house" or something.

THEY CAN HAVE MY MOTORCYCLE WHEN THEY PRY IT FROM MY COLD, DEAD CROTCH

HOA rules differ everywhere you go. We were looking at places that wouldn't let you work on your car in your driveway. That's a good one though.

Some friends of mine can't leave their garage door open for a certain amount of time! Totally nuts. BUT HOA rules, like planting non-indeginous plats or trees, may be a good thing, especially here in the desert.

I do, however, think that most extreme cases are for RENTERS in gates communities. No?

Friendly post. :)

I live in a gate community, in the desert, and pretty much anything is allowed. Several very sweet motorcycles and scooters reside here.

Of course, rules differ from place to place, and ya gotta read the fine print before ya sign the lease/mortgage or whatever, and ask questions, if for nothing else, to annoy the shit out of them.
