Bike porn

I bought it. 1968 Honda Superhawk 305. It's delectable. The battery's
messed up, so I'm waiting a couple of days for a new one. I was able to
get it kick started, though, and take a ride around the neighborhood.
It's loud as hell and somewhat bouncy, but lots of fun. Susie prefers
the BMW, as do I, but it's nice to rock a weirdo bike from time to time.

Yeah... even if I can't get this heap in good working order, I'll be there on my Red Bike.

Man that's a hot little bike, is it just the pic, or is the frame a little weird?
Apr. 9th, 2006 07:28 pm (UTC)
Weird how?

I knew you'd ask that, 'cause I don't remember the name of that particular part of the frame... the pipe(s) that go down the front of the frame under the gas tank. I'm sure they're somehow underneath the engine, but in the pic it looks like the engine is holding onto the bike with some kinda anti-grav magic.

Am just not familiar with Superhawks, but that's not to say I don't really dig the look of that little monster.

It is a very strange mount. Basically, there's nothing in front of or under the motor. It's bolted at the top front and the bottom rear.

I love those! Fun!

I love those bikes! It's one of the first old-style MCs I really fell for.
