IT just came and dropped a Mac Mini on my desk. I'm afraid I don't know how to work at it. I've poked it with my pen many times and nothing's really happened.

On the front, there's a teeny soft white light which is currently illuminated. There's also a wide slot, which I assume is where you feed it. On the back there are a few USB ports, firewire, power, network, bass, treble, distortion, etc... On powering it up, there's a login screen. Whenever I type my credentials, the screen shakes back and forth. I can only guess this is Mac's equivalent of "uh uh uh!". You know, like if it had a finger, it'd be waggling at me. I'm guessing my network connection is no good, but who the fuck knows? There's no lights on the network port to indicated connection or no, so your guess is as good as mine.

Score so far:
Steve's first Mac: 1
Steve: 0

Do you need some help with the little alien on your desk?
I can come by and hold your hand if you're scared!
