This is how a scooter rally should look. Nothing newer than '81

Scooters should look more attached to my ass.

2 things:

1) How perfect it is that the ad that shows up next to this post is one for BRAND NEW all plastic scoots? hah!

2) Thanks for making me feel awesome about being in the market for an old Honda Elite just so that my broke college self has SOMETHING to ride.

How cool!

Hey - do you y'all have plans for June? My friend and I were thinking about road tripping it up there...

Is this head for the hills?
I'm beginning to feel like I have abandoned my scooters. I have not done nearly enough scooter riding lately.

I remember people laughing at my P200. It was awesome though. Rad paintjob with tons of mirrors and lights. All my other friends had Sprints, GSs, Lambrettas and stuff. They hated P series bikes. Now, people may consider those P series bikes "vintage"! OMG! I can't even imagine that!

I still would like a P series. Solid, fun and actually "a classic". If you get my drift.

I have a pic of you on an old Vespa. What model was that? Kinda seafoam green?

:( nobody likes my kind.

my friend and i (we both have new twist-n-go's) are starting a scooter club for those who aren't wanted elsewhere. we're called the Sit n Spins! we drink beer in the park and eat cupcakes on our rides.

Meh... I started writing a long response to this justifying why I prefer vintage rides and explaining that you're a definite exception and that you are, indeed, wanted and loved, but I stopped, because it was getting ridiculous.

Cupcakes and beer are wonderful themes to center any ride around. If I still lived up there, I'd consider finding myself a Twist n' Go so I could ride with ya.

don't worry about us. every marginalized population eventually embraces the very parts of them that are stigmatized by others. that's why we started sit n spins! plastic pride!!
