I'm back

I got back a couple days ago... but I didn't really have anything to write. I could write about the whole trip, but you'd get bored. And it's a lot to write. Let's just say I had a blast and I love my friends.

Tonight, went to Sit 'N' Spin and saw a band called Men of Science with Liz. The interesting thing about this is that they have a song about Liz and it's REALLY freaking good. This was her first time hearing it (and mine) and it was amazing. I don't know if you've ever watched someone hear a song about them for the first time, but you just can't help but feel happy for them. Couldn't have happened to a sweeter person.

I'm freaking tired. And my neck hurts. And I can't see so good anymore.

They should stop boarding planes by row and start boarding by column. Board all the window seats first, then the middles, then the aisles.

You make me sad.
TTN15 and I am nowhere to be found. How was it this year? Glad to hear CONgress is on the outs or Friday, considering the way they treated us for TTN13. I always loved the FLamingo. I wanted to buy it before it was refurbed. How was it??? Bands? How do they do it now?

Also, how was the turnout and how was the ride? lots o bikes? Too many frsk cuts being dicks again?

Dish the dirt, yo.

Re: You make me sad.
Yeah... We definitely miss having you out there, brutha... This was my 7th straight year, two of which have not featured the antics of the legendary Big Dave. Damn.

From what I hear, half the people really liked staying at the Flamingo, and half the people miss Congress. I prefer the Flamingo, because it's a good party spot and they treated us good. I mean, Congress was very convenient and all, but that's about it.

Friday night's rally stuff pretty much blew. There was a short ride from the Flamingo to some bar next to the Grill where some really bad bands played. Well, I only know that one of the bands was really bad, because most of us headed back to the hotel to drink at around 11ish. We had good times back there, just jumping from room to room and having a good time. I was in the John Wayne room. Awww yeah! Potsy was way out of control on his power kick on Friday night. He was going on and on about how there were some changes to the route and it was going to be so much better, but he refused to tell me what the changes were (some of us were concerned about making the 10:30 meeting time and figured we'd just catch up if we missed the departure) and got pretty fucking snotty when I asked him again. "Just stay with the ride and you'll be fine!". Yeah... When in 15 years has the entire group stayed together for a hundred miles? But I digress...

Turnout was kinda low - 53 bikes by the Barry count. I thought that was just fine. Gave us lots of room at the site. The skins were there, although not as many as last year. There were only about four. They were making a lot of noise on Friday night like they were going to try to be twice as annoying since people bitched about them, but when it came down to it, the four of them just sat around a table by themselves looking pathetic.

Bunch of Wussys from Seattle and Portland showed up, so that was pretty cool. They got Jeff Reese's dad's motorhome from Yuma and brought it to the campsite. I think they had a good time.

The one thing that kind of blew is that there was no big fire this year. Ranger told us not to because the fire danger was too high. Also no raffle this year. At least not that I know of.

That's all I know man... When are we gonna see your mug out here again?

Re: You make me sad.
Eh. Hard to say. There are so many rides I wanna hit out here, my vacation time is almost all eaten up for next year. I have all there grandious plans and it never works out. I will be at Vegas. And of course Mayhem. my 'rents 40th aniversary is next year and we're working on a family vacation for that o theres a few more days sucked up. Money is ALWAYS tight out here, so who knows how much gallavanting we can do. AND IM thinking about returning to school, which would further limit my portability from NYC. Just saw your pics on Scoot.net. I miss that ride. Good to see all the SF'ers still making it out and Bryan Holm still pouring the cocktails...

Anyway. Just another regualr check in. I enjoy reading about your foibles, eye fuck ups, job instabilities, BMW's, seeing pictures of Sachelari on damndirtyape.net. The works. Did you get to go out and look at the DemonZZ Alive pics fro this year? That was a good upsatate NY camping rally I was able to go to...

Check in soon.
